Overview

Phase One: Proof of Concept

Phase Two: Prototype

Phase Three: Production Ready

Requirements

Phase 1 – Proof of Concept

The purpose of phase one is to create a working, real-time proof of concept. The signal processing algorithm will be prototyped and tested in MatLab and portions of it may be ported to real-time architecture. The hardware platform will be selected and a “starter kit” or similar prototype board will be used to develop the concept. Basic software structure will be established.

Goal

Our goal is to create a platform to evaluate system performance versus your stated requirements.

Required to Start

All we need to get started are your system requirements – a document stating simple project requirements as to size, power, and other requirements. For example, "The MatLab algorithm must run in real-time."

Main Tasks

  • Initial Testing in MatLab
  • Floating vs. Fixed Point Tradeoffs
  • Algorithm Assessment
  • Port to Phase 1 Hardware
